What are your responsibilities as Lead Product Software Engineer ? You will contribute to the software architecture definition, working in your group but also collaborating with other teams and Software Architects. You are expected to provide technical leadership to other developers and contribute to building and maintaining the holistic view of the software solution, the product and its business requirements. Our core software engineering department is based in Lucca where all the teams are working closely together in developing our products for our major industries such as banking, insurance, automotive and food and beverage. Every team consists of a QA engineer and 5/6 software engineers. We strongly believe in the Agile way of working and the Scrum methodology has really been embedded in our daily work. We leverage teamwork, self-organization and proactivity as the best solution comes from collective intelligence and collaborative decision-making. Actively participate in the product life cycle from requirements definitions to design, implementation, and product integration. Cooperate with Architects in the product architecture evolution, following industry trends, identifying options and suggesting the right choices. Master the methodologies and technologies related to the product software development life cycle, and its enabling tools. Provide guidance to the Scrum team, continuously driving quality and productivity, via code reviews and technical coaching. Maintain and promote the holistic view of the system. Cooperate with Product Management to address business requirements and their implications on architecture and non-functional requirements. Drive and take leadership when the team is facing challenging situations. Two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) we come together in our Lucca office to experience the value of connecting with colleagues. You will be part of our development department and report to one of the Product Software Engineering Managers. What will you bring to CCH Tagetik part of Wolters Kluwer? Effective interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships. You must have: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (or equivalent field). Work experience may substitute for education requirements. Strong experience with Java (preferred) or C# and their application development frameworks (such as Spring). Solid understanding of Design Patterns, API design, and SOLID and Clean Code principles. Exposure to software development best practices such as TDD and Refactoring. Solid experience with test practices, such as unit, integration, and E2E testing, and their automation. Solid knowledge of Relational Databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA. Strong judgment and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical and debugging skills, with attention to details. Effective time management. Strong experience in application performance analysis and resulting optimizations. Experience in software requirements analysis and in writing technical documentation. Good understanding of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and Azure. Good experience in designing Distributed Systems (with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security) and microservices architecture. Fluency in Italian and proficiency in English. It is better if you also have knowledge of the following: NoSQL databases. SDLC tools like Jira, GIT, IntelliJ, Maven, npm, and CI/CD practices. Virtualization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes. Publish subscribe concepts and implementations such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ.
