Production cycles: analyses and plan production process, taking care of determining best cycle operating development and determining times to be assigned to each operation for each production unit.

Estimate cycle times considering variations to existing products.

Define new work cycles for new products starting analysis from the old ones. Layout: determine assembly line, workstation and production machinery layout according to works phases for each operator on each production unit. Process improvement: contribute to implementation of corrective actions / improvement projects of process/product in terms of productivity, quality, functionality, safety and costs. Safety: verify in cycle and layout development phases that individual protection devices and plant safety devices are used as required by regulations (also as identified by other functions).

Keep in mind on each improvement of tools / layout/ work distribution the safety aspects. Tools and production machinery: contribute along with interested functions to define characteristics of tools/machinery to be used in the production of new products or modified products, in particular: identify suppliers and enquiries; assist production in starting up production machinery.
