**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team to design, measure, and grow the training, capability, and development goals across OBU.
- Liaise with senior leadership team and ensure buy-in of all internal stakeholders by developing and presenting business cases that demonstrate the impact of new skills and capabilities on business performance.
- Ensure Sales, Medical, and Diagnostic functions are adequately trained and always up to date in all scientific areas related to the relevant tumor type in terms of disease, treatment, and guidelines.
- Liaise with Global Oncology Training and Development to align on strategic Learning & Capability priorities and their implementation at the local level.
- Establish a scientific training mindset as a key competitive advantage for AZ field force.
- Ensure AZ field force is consistently recognized by HCPs as trusted and reliable partners with regards to their scientific and clinical knowledge.
- Monitor emerging trends in the healthcare environment to anticipate the need for new skills and capabilities that may positively impact performance and proactively identify opportunities to upskill business functions in line with strategic company's priorities.
- Proactively liaise and collaborate with BBU counterpart to co-create, share, and develop capabilities development plans for AZ.
- Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that skills and capabilities are meeting business needs and become a key competitive advantage to accelerate performance and increase competitiveness.
- Collaborate with HR to identify cutting-edge competencies and capabilities to be considered for employees' development as well as new requisites for job profiles and roles.
**Educational Background**:
- A Bachelor's degree in scientific field or any relevant degrees related to the specific requirements of the role
**Professional Background**:
- Significant experience (8+ years) in leadership and team development roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, particularly within oncology or a related therapeutic area.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing training and capability development programs, preferably within a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated success in liaising with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve buy-in for strategic initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of the oncology therapeutic area, including disease understanding, treatment landscape, and clinical guidelines would be considered a plus
- Proven ability to monitor and anticipate emerging trends in the healthcare environment and translate them into actionable training and capability development plans.
