About this opportunity**:

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opening for a Legal Counsel in our team. As Legal Counsel, you'll play a crucial role in our continuing mission to innovate and lead the industry. This significant role involves delivering professional legal services, including corporate governance and data protection. You will be entrusted with the fundamental task of guiding Ericsson through the complex web of legal intricacies to help us operate efficiently, manage risks and remain in compliance with pertinent laws and regulations.

**What you will do**:

- Managing a wide range of corporate governance requirements including coordination of the company's risk, policy and compliance frameworks

- Providing assistance and support to ensure broader corporate governance requirements are in place and well managed

- Developing governance policy proposals and advising the Board and colleagues of their responsibilities

- Ensuring Board members receive adequate training, development and briefing to enable them to fulfill their responsibilities

- Overseeing arrangements for annual Board member evaluation and reviews

- Taking care of data protection related matters

- Implementing and maintaining a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including developing policies, standards and templates for data collection, and assists with data mapping, and vendor management reviews

- Working with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects, related data, and agreements to ensure compliance with local data privacy laws, and where necessary, complete and advise on privacy impact assessments.

**The skills you will bring**:

- Have experience of providing high-quality customer-focused corporate governance support to Boards and/or Committees to include: preparing agendas in line with business priorities and governance requirements; drafting, commissioning, reviewing and editing papers and reports; briefing paper authors and attendees; preparing high-quality minutes; circulating and tracking actions arising from meetings; monitoring conflicts of interests; facilitating recruitment, induction and training for members

- Considerable experience of working and handling data protection matters

- Ability to present pragmatic alternatives and propose solutions

- Be able to identify and recommend improvements to existing processes, to align with developments in governance practice and improve effectiveness and efficiency

- ** Fluent Italian and English

**Seniority**:

- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in companies having a size compared to Ericsson and operating in a multinational environment

- Rome
