LINUX & FIRMWARE ENGINEER

Azcom Technology offers the opportunity to join a highly experienced and motivated Firmware Team focused on embedded systems design and development with projects of international relevance.

As a Firmware Engineer, you will be in charge of Software design and development on embedded platforms and in particular of:

All phases of the software life cycle: analysis, design, implementation and testing. Development of test frameworks and test cases to verify the functioning of the software. Review of technical documents and source code. Documenting software architecture and design choices. Candidate profile: We are looking for Engineers with knowledge or experience in the role and in these areas:

Knowledge of C/C++ and Python languages. Knowledge of BASH scripting. Knowledge of the most common embedded system Architectures (ARM Cortex M-series, MIPS32, ARM Cortex A-series, Intel x86). Knowledge of SoC Architectures (ARM + FPGA, ARM + DSP) will be considered a plus. Development of Bare-Metal and RTOS embedded applications for microcontrollers. Development of Linux applications (User & Kernel Space) for microprocessors. Version control systems (GIT, SVN). Knowledge of 3GPP 5G/4G protocols will be considered a plus. Spoken and written English. Typical projects the Firmware group works on: Bring up of new systems produced in-house or by our customers. Development of BareMetal / RTOS industrial applications for small appliances. Configuration of bootloader, kernel and startup in Embedded Linux systems.
