As an Infrastructure Senior Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, build and operations support of infrastructure solutions for Unix / Linux Domain. You will fix/troubleshoot and propose improvements on the operations support and to project deliverables and assist the project manager in the definition of project scope, objectives ensuring technical feasibility.

Moreover, you will be responsible for the completion of manuals for the handover of the Infrastructure to the Operation team and you will proactively identify SME areas of operational weakness and propose service improvement plans. Who you are:

Total of close to 12 years of experienceAt least 8 years of experience into Unix / Linux infrastructure supportPlan, designand build solutions in the Unix / Linux domain and serve as highest level of technical escalation point within the Team. SME skills on RedHat, CentOS and SLES with performance analysis and tuning capabilitiesAbility to design High Availability solutions and familiarity with different virtualization engines like powervm / vmware / kvmSUSE SMT / Redhat Satelllite / LDAP / Samba / DNS / mail server config/ SuSe ManagerAbility to fix/troubleshoot major and critical operational issue and to handle Outages of critical production servers including the Problem Management part and communications with stakeholders in our IT Department/business. Experience with Ansible / salt stack / python / scripting desiredAbility to work in complex and international remote teams and handle multiple tasks & projects simultaneouslySecurity hardening standards implementation - PCI/CIS ITIL certification and Incident/change/problem management experienceExcellent Infrastructure technical communication and reporting skills.

Knowledge of GxP quality systems and Infrastructure. DevOps and Lean skillAbility to work in complex and international remote teams and handle multiple tasks & projects simultaneouslyEnglish and Italian fluent The role is home-based preferably, but not necessary, in Milan/Rome.
