Job Summary:
This role is responsible for defining, coordinating and implementing Lean methodologies (kaizen events, SMED, Standard Work, 5S, Touch Time Analysis, Six Sigma, ecc. )
within the Passirana Plant.
Those activities should be integrated with the regions / plants OpEx efforts and meet the guidelines, criteria and metrics established by the Corporate.
Those activities will be part of a move of the plant towards smart factory and industry 4. 0.
Day to day duties/responsibilities:
- Supporting and improving the SEE Performance Management System (PMS) within the Passirana plant, focusing on the implementation at shop-floor level, with the aim of reaching the annual target and reinforcing system auditing.
- Analyzing operational results (KPI) for continuous improvement opportunities within organizational and production processes
- Leading activities at the shop-floor level, related to the use of Lean methodologies and techniques such as: conducting 5S events (Work Place Organization) and SMED; support to the team for the creation and maintenance of the Standard Work Instructions system; support for TouchTime Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, TPM, Pull System - KanBan, Visual Management, re-layout.
- Planning and implementation of Kaizen events according to the assigned Road Map, with direct participation in the Problem Solving.
- Organizing/Supporting training of the operational staff, function representatives and managers on Lean methodologies & the SEE Performance Management System.
- Supporting the implementation of the company's continuous improvement program; directing participation in project teams as an OpEx change agent and facilitator.
- Acting as a key interface with the team in charge of implementing the smart factory and digitalization and in collaboration with the Engineering team, leveraging her/his understanding and experience in process and material flow analysis.
- Analyzing data generated by digital tools in place in the plant to identify improvement projects.
A Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Management or equivalent education/experience
- A combination of formal education (Bachelors), experience and training may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
- 2-3+ years of professional level experience in managing improvement projects (having Green Belt certification is a plus).
- Prior experience in projects related to the Smart Factory is required.
Good knowledge of MES and industry 4. 0 concepts (database, network).
- Methodological approach to project management.
- Good communication and leadership skills; strong propensity for teamwork.
- Proficiency in Italian and English
- High attitude to "Go and see".
- The role was born with a 70/30 balance (70% in the department, 30% in the office).
- Working knowledge and experience in Smart Factory and capability to be part of the digital plant transformation, leveraging digital tools to identify improvement opportunities in the plant.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools/methodologies, project management, 6 Sigma, quality and basic financial principles.
- Ability to lead and direct an improvement team.
Must be a results-oriented "change agent" for the plant, able to communicate, influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.
