Position Summary
Coordinate, schedule, and oversee inbound and outbound shipments of machinery and parts ensuring timelines and budgets are successfully achieved.
- Quote, coordinate, and schedule freight shipments in a timely cost-effective manner for the company and in-compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with external customers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of shipments.
- Proactively communicate with carrier to effectively resolve potential delays, cost overruns, damage to products, etc.
- Review and approve payment of freight bills/invoices.
Code to correct account.
- Work with Customs Brokers to ensure regulatory compliant and expeditious shipments.
- Negotiate freight rates and monitor compliance.
- Negotiate Customs Broker rates and monitor compliance.
- Process/complete or collect necessary documentation and maintain accurate and regulatory compliant file or recordkeeping system.
- Prepare annual freight expense budgets and quarterly projections.
Compare and analyze actual expenditures to budgets and projections.
Take corrective actions as required.
- Package, label, and process shipments as needed to include operating necessary machinery and equipment (e. g. , scales, forklifts, etc.
).
- Provide communications, direction, training, and support to team members involved in associated shipping and receiving functions.
- Assist Sales and Service department with projects and reports as required.
Position Requirements
- Intermediate/B1 English proficiency level.
- Multiple years of experience in a similar position (global logistics desired).
- High degree of professionalism (behavior, appearance, work product).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work with others and work as a team.
- Attention to detail, organized, and accurate in performing duties.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

- Strong computer proficiency to include Microsoft office suite and potentially other software and systems.
