Job Summary The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall logistics strategy of a company to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution of goods.
Key Responsibilities 1. Logistics & Supply Chain Management
Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to optimize costs and delivery timelines. Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding logistics and transportation. 2. Inventory & Warehouse Management
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Implement best practices for warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. 3. Transportation Management
Manage relationships with transport providers and negotiate contracts. Monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely shipments. 4. Process Optimization & Cost Control
Identify opportunities for reducing logistics costs while maintaining service quality. Implement automation and technology solutions to streamline operations. Conduct performance analysis and prepare reports on logistics performance metrics. Lead and manage logistics staff, including warehouse workers, and logistics coordinators. Foster collaboration between logistics, supply chain and production departments. Train and develop staff to improve operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards, customs regulations, and environmental laws. Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions, such as supply chain delays. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
