**Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026** is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2, 300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22, 000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
**Position**:
We are looking for **Logistics Operations Manager.
The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning and the day-to-day operations for the logistics of Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, materials, and information throughout the supply chain, managing, and coordinating the relationship with the Logistics Service Providers, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics operations while maintaining high service levels and customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the logistic operation team, including warehousing, transportation, distribution, international shipments and custom clearance processes.
- Manage the contract with logistics service providers, negotiate contracts, and monitor their performance through KPI, ensuring the required level of service.
- Manage and coordinate the overall implementation and management of the warehouse facilities (Main Distribution Centre), including its layout, infrastructure, equipment, and storage systems.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization by designing efficient storage layouts based on clients' requirements, implementing proper racking systems, segregation of areas and employing appropriate storage methods.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities with logistics providers to meet client demands and internal requirements ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and materials during all phases.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness and analyse client demands to anticipate future logistics needs and make proactive adjustments to the supply chain.
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate activities and optimize the overall supply chain ensuring a high level of customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues related to logistics operations.
- Ensure effective communication and information flow between the logistics team and Logistics Service Providers, including sharing shipment details, order updates, and other relevant information.
- Collaborate with Logistics Service Providers to develop customized solutions that meet specific needs managing software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, generate reports resolving any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, delivery delays, or damaged goods.
- Coordinate the development of the guidelines for international shipment and custom ensuring compliance with customs regulations and liaise with the Logistics Provider customs brokers or agents to ensure smooth customs clearance processes.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to logistics, such as customs regulations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure staffing levels and efficient allocation of resources to meet operational demands.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience of more than 10 years in logistics operations management, preferably with a focus on contract management, warehousing and transport/distribution operations.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, resource allocation, and scheduling principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Leadership abilities with experience in managing and leading teams.
