Position Summary

Job Purpose

This position is a key role in Supply Chain Logistics of Samsung.

Being the owner of Logistics Process, she/he will oversee the entire logistics process of Samsung, ranging from inbound, outbound, warehousing to reverse logistics, making sure of logistics function aligned to the company strategies and controlling the abnormality in quality and cost.

She/he will improve and innovate the logistics process, for better quality / cost / customer experiences, participating in projects and negotiations with internal parties and with external players.

**Role and Responsibilities

**Key Responsibilities**:

**(S&OP)**:

- Bridge between the commercial (sales & marketing) and the operational part (SCM, Order Desk, Logistics, 3PL/4PL)

- Prepare logistics capacity & resources plan (W/H, Transportation) by planning and forecasting, as part of S&OP (sales & operations planning) process with Commercial / SCM / Sales Operation / Logistics / external parties (3PL/4PL).

- Coordinate for special activities like new flagship models launches or Black Friday with 3PL/4PL.

- Create weekly / monthly reports analysing Inbound / Outbound / Warehouse performance & result

**(Reverse Logistics)

- Monitor and control the reverse logistics status, keeping return rate low, clearing off-grade goods with bidding/scrap in an efficient and compliant way.

- Find the weakness in the process and improve the efficiency and flow of reverse logistics.

**(Quality & Cost Management)

- Build dashboard and monitor/detect abnormal status of performance and cost in Inbound / Outbound / Warehouse.

- Dig into detail to find root causes of abnormality, and intervene and coordinate to solve by discussing with relevant parties like 3PL/4PL, Sales, Sales Operation, Service, etc, or by improving the process.

- Conduct regular meetings with 3PL/4PL to review performance, VOC follow-up progress, project status.

- Participate in the RFQ or in the tariff negotiation with 3PL, together with European Contract & Pricing team, to select right vendors for service quality and for better price.

- Assess periodically (annually) logistics processes, following the HQ policy and guideline.

Plan and conduct the corrective actions to fix misalignment.

**(New Logistics project)

- Identify new improvement area by monitoring the status and by benchmarking other industries.

- Design the new logistics flow and improve the current process in order to improve leadtime/cost/customer experiences, such as Vendor Flex, Dropship collaboration project with customer, etc, through collaboration in different projects and work-streams.

- Lead the implementation of new systems or processes from the definition of business requirements to the successful roll out

**Skills and Qualifications

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

**(Education)**:

- Master / Bachelor in Industrial Engineering (management engineering), Logistics, Supply Chain.

**(Experience)

- Proven track record in logistics field, incl.

transportation, warehousing, reverse logistics, logistics process/system, 3PL/4PL management, contract & cost control.

- Project management / 6 Sigma experience preferred.

- Experience in coordinating internal and external service providers

**(Skills)

- Profound analytical skills and ability to work with details; Microsoft Excel is essential

- Strong eye for detail and experience with databases and reporting

- Willing to dig into detail to find root causes (5 Why)

- Quality improvement skills : 6 sigma or lean Kaizen preferred

- Problem solving skills

- Process design

- Strong communication & Stakeholder management skills

- Ability to effectively prioritize various tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Language : Fluent English & Italian
