Logistics Specialist
Meaningful Work From Day One
Responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Manager in all topics related to logistics, collaborating directly with the 3rd Party Logistic (3PL) on all the daily operations activities (repacking, warehousing, service, inventory management) and the Global Supply Chain Team on the inbound flows. The Logistic Specialist will be the point of contact for both the Commercial Team (for all the marketing and trade marketing activities that require the involvement of the 3PL) and the 3PL itself (for all the topics to be addressed to Brown-Forman).
**What You Can Expect
- Inbound:
- Monitor that all the products received are imported into SAP, registered correctly and on time.
- Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain Team to prepare and update daily the schedule of arrivals to share with the 3PL.
- Be the local point of contact and the facilitator for the 3PL and the Global Supply Chain Team in case of issues at the arrivals.
- Main contact for the 3PL in case of issues with custom processes.
- Inventory management:
- Together with the Demand & Supply Planning Specialist, track the level of inventory to be sure we don't overcome the limit agreed with the 3PL by contract and share regularly the stock projection.
- Treatment of breakages and stock discrepancies, maintaining SAP aligned with the real inventory.
- Recurrent check of the stock blocked due to damage to define what to sell and what to destroy, keeping an updated database together with the 3PL.
- Perform a stock reconciliation with the 3PL clarifying the differences, establishing the root causes to improve the efficiency of the daily activities and reduce the future differences.
- Manage the destruction of the expired and damaged goods collaborating with the 3PL.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and update the stock in SAP post-inventory.
- Visit the 3PL regularly to discuss and work on problems and continuous improvement.
- Co-packing
- Creation of a co-packing plan based on sales forecast and materials availability (raw materials and finished goods) collaborating with the Demand & Supply Planning Specialist and the 3PL.
- Entering co-packing orders in SAP, monitoring their receipts with the 3PL and ensuring that the system is cleared once the repacking is complete.
- Control the stock levels of components necessary for the co-packing activity and collaborate with the Purchasing and Marketing teams for component replenishment needs.
- Create and update Bill of Material (BoM) of standard references that require co-packing in SAP.
- Service and KPI
- Collect, discuss and share internally at monthly level the KPI report of the 3PL
- Work regularly with the 3PL to improve the KPIs that are not at the requested level
- Continuous improvement of logistic processes
- Ad-hoc reporting on logistic topics
- Control of logistic invoices to be sure that the costs are in line with the budget
- Strip stamps:
- Together with the Demand & Supply Planning Specialist, support the 3PL in the full management of the strip stamps inventory.
- Support the local 3PL in the strip stamps acquisition process & reporting.
- Monitor local inventory levels of strip stamps and raise the purchase orders to the 3PL when needed.
- Monitor the bank guarantees level for strip stamps, in transit goods and storage to ensure that we keep the right level.
- Support the 3PL in the reconciliation of strip stamps sent abroad collaborating with the Global Supply Chain Team.
- Regular strip stamps physical inventory in 3PL warehouse (excise tax).
- Execute SAP movement in the area of strip stamping and inventory management (acquisition, allocation of the bottles, losses, etc. ).
- Project Work
- Support local projects with logistic impact during conception, implementation, and execution, such as RTC changes, cost efficiencies, etc. , and liaise with corp. /reg. Supply Chain teams to timely obtain appropriate support and guidance.
- Support Global Supply Chain projects on an ad hoc basis.
**What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Accounting or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of logistic, warehousing operations, planning, customs, strip stamps, and excise tax requirements for the spirits industry.
- English Language a requirement
- Strategic thinking, ownership, decision-making abilities and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures.
- Ability to deal, collaborate and negotiate with a vendor.
- Collaborative team player.

- SAP/APO Experience.
