Reporting to:Senior Claims Supervisor (SCS)Responsibilities and DutiesProvide initial assessment of the degree of severity and urgency of claims, making sure the correct procedure is followed and all relevant parties are involved and/or kept informedEnsure a swift management of pending and outstanding proceedingsAssist Insurers before, during and after the appointment of external lawyers, experts and consultants if requiredAssist Insurance Intermediaries, Insureds, Insurers and colleagues in liaising with legal proceedings ensuring the most appropriate course of action is taken with regards to the specific claimAnalyse information gathered by investigation and reporting findings and recommendations to the SCSExamine claims form and other records to determine insurance coverage based on the facts and the policy terms and conditions, as well as assessing potential Insured's liability and exposure within the deadlineSet reserves within authority limits and recommending reserve changesReport claims handling activities to the SCS on a recurring basis keeping them informed of all relevant informationNegotiate prompt settlements and out of Court agreements with emphasis on fairness and according to the company's practices and proceduresPrepare reports on the outcomes of investigation, settlements and denials of claimsMaintain up to date diary system and tracking system and full records of analysis, recommendations and decisions taken in respect of legal mattersKeep the electronic claim file properly documented with accurate, clear and timely information and reports that reflects the adjustment activitiesLiaise with Insurers, Producers, Insureds and Third Parties involved in claims to ensure an efficient level of communications and exchange of information, also via the web platform of the companyKnowledge and ExperienceKnowledge of the practices and processes of the insurance marketExperience and understanding of Italian civil, commercial, administrative and criminal law and procedures, and of litigation and arbitration proceduresGood written and spoken communication skillsGood negotiation skillsAppropriate time management and ability to meet the deadlinesAdministrative and IT skills (knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook)Compensation package4-day weekCompetitive market salary, reviewed every yearAnnual performance bonusSix-monthly rewardsLunch vouchersAnniversary voucherBirthday voucher
