Job Description Summary**: The LPT Production Technologies Focal is an individual contributor, reporting to Avio Aero Production Technologies Manager, working on design and development of Low Pressure Turbines components across Avio Aero to meet assigned objectives to deliver manufacturing solutions or product improvements for engines, actively flying around the globe.

In this role, you will be on the front lines of a new organization -called Production Technologies

- that is dedicated to improving the producibility, enhancing the Engineering-Supply chain relationship, and using SQDC (Safety/Quality/Delivery/Cost) to dramatically improve the health of the supply chain and product to enable the business to fulfil our customers' expectations.

Examples of specific tasks you will be responsible for are: producibility design changes, on-going manufacturing support, and strategic improvements across Castings, Forgings, Machining, and Coatings for the assigned commodity.

**Essential Responsibilities

- Address the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects, by guiding/influencing design resources and Module Integration Leaders

- Have high levels of interaction with and exposure to engineers from multiple disciplines, manufacturing & quality, and regularly exposed to commodity and industry experts all while promoting open and honest dialogue.

- At least twice a year, with opportunities for more frequent, travel to manufacturing sites to gain practical knowledge of manufacturing.

- Execute the engineering analysis and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles to improve manufacturability and technical robustness of assigned components.

- Use engineering judgement and experience to challenge entrenched processes and methodology to recommend improvements.

- Utilize in-depth knowledge of engineering & manufacturing, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute on technically complex projects to meet technical requirements and business goals with mínimal technical oversight.

- Lead technical projects with moderate to high levels of complexity through collaboration with field and industry experts.

- Provide support to repair development, producibility improvements, hardware delivery and vendor qualifications.

- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

- Negotiate budget needs between Production Technologies (doing department) and the Product Line (funding department) for manufacturing support.

- Own the engineering support to Quality Escapes Management through containment and delivery (excludes field actions).

- Handle Configuration Items (Schemes/Assy/BOM etc) for LPT commodities within Production Technologies

- Supervise the hand-over between Engineering and Manufacturing for Changes In Design industrialization.

**Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor's of Engineering degree from an accredited university or college, Master's Degree is preferred.

- Solid experience in a relevant engineering role.

- Previous experience in design of Aviation components.

- Fluency in English and Italian

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

- Established project management skills.

- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

**Desired Characteristics

- Flexible and friendly approach to working in teams.

- Certification in ASME Y14 or practical experience with GD&T.

- Heat Treatment and/or Machining Technologies knowledge

- Documented experience of being a self-starter with a passion for problem solving and driving solutions, while constantly learning and mentoring others.

- Fundamental understanding of turbomachinery system design
