Job Description Summary**: In this role you will work within the Rotating Component Design Department as Hardware Owner for the assigned components manufactured in the Rivalta shop.

As components HW owner you will also interface with Engineering Technical Leader and with the Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing).

** Essential Responsibilities

Your essential responsibilities will be:

- Change in Design / NPI (New Product Introduction): design engine components leveraging your solid background on FEM analysis to meet the applicable mechanical integrity requirements in line with the product specifications and considering all the potential design constraints.

Be responsible for preparation and presentation of Technical Reviews, (Chief Engineers consultation, NPI reviews)

- Develop and design new parts exploring new technologies (e. g.

additive).

- Production Support: assessment and substantiation of non-conformances, proper document them, setting requirements for manufacturing validation processes.

Definition and delivery of repair procedures, support to Process Improvement and DPU reduction projects.

Definition and substantiation of required Engineering Change

- Field Support: Support field investigations, processing of analysis models and delivery of technical reports to support the Life Cycle Engineering Team.

Support Repair Engineering Team to update Repair Notes documentation

**Qualifications/Requirements

- Master's degree in Engineering, mechanical /Aeronautical preferred

- Good knowledge CAE analysis (Static/Dynamic)

- Good knowledge of metallic materials (steel, aluminum, nickel alloys, titanium) both from the structural point of view and of their manufacturing

- Basic knowledge of conventional machining processes (drilling, turning, milling, broaching, etc. )

and special ones (SHOT-PEENING, EDM, ECM, etc.

)

- Basic knowledge of GD&T tolerance system for part drawing definition and ability of performing quick hand calculation (e. g.

stack up).

- Basic knowledge of CAD drawing and drafting

- Strong team player

- Lean mindset, oriented to continuous improvement and waste elimination

- Fluent written and spoken English and Italian

- EU Work Permit

**Desired Characteristics**:

- Six Sigma green belt

- Advanced Ansys (classic and workbench) and Hypermesh tool

- Unigraphics CAD tool

- Work or study experience abroad is a plus
