Operate computer numerically controlled horizontal lathe, mills, or turning centers to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts after setup and approval by Quality Assurance. Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine operating requirements. Mount work piece between center in chuck or in collect. Depress buttons, toggles, and start machining operation. Observe displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments. Perform spot checks for conformance to specifications per instructions on router of Supervisor or Quality Control. Complete all in-process inspection requirements.

Operate another machine during computer-controlled machining cycles when necessary and feasible. Machine metallic and nonmetallic materials and deburr products as needed. Mark and/or tag nonconforming material and place them in designated areas. Tag and/or mark completed material and move products to appropriate areas. Monitor coolant fluid levels during machine operation. Qualifications:High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or on-the-job training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Regularly required to stand, use hands, fingers, and wrists in repeated movements. Frequently required to walk, bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs. Occasionally required to sit, talk, and hear. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Why should you choose Manpower?
