**POSITION SCOPE

As a Maintenance Worker, you will be working with passionate malting professionals.

You will learn basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in a production environment.

Safety is our top priority.

You will report directly to the Maintenance Foreman for your daily tasks.

This is a Monday through Friday, entry level position working an 8-hour schedule on day or swing shifts.

This is a temporary position.

**RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist maintenance personnel with the installation, maintenance, adjustment, calibration, repair, and replacement of plant industrial equipment as directed by the Maintenance Foreman.

- Receives and interprets maintenance work orders.

Ascertains appropriate tools and equipment required to complete the repair and all paperwork associated with closing the work order.

- You MUST have your own basic set of tools.

- Completes preventative maintenance tasks as directed.

- Keeps personal work area, storage, and general shop areas clean using push brooms, shovels, and rags.

- Performs all assigned duties or tasks as directed by the Maintenance Foreman.

- Assists operating personnel with the cleanup of occasional grain spills and the clearing of plugged spouts, chutes, and legs.

- Accepts after hours emergency call in requests, to repair defective plant equipment, outside the normal operating hours of the maintenance shop.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Critical reasoning skills, ability to read, write, perform math calculations on a high school level.

- Must be self-motivated, with an ability to troubleshoot issues and determine appropriate resolution and develop sense of ownership of processes.

- Above average verbal communication skills are required, plus willingness to work in a team environment with peers in various departments and trades.

- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite is a must.

- Malting or brewing industry knowledge and/or experience is a huge plus.

- Must have a working knowledge of civil, mechanical, or electrical drawings.

- Must have good organizational skills.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or GED is required.

Some technical training is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Unionized environment.

Teamsters Local 701.

- Highly physical position, including walking, sitting, standing, climbing stairs in the plant environment including outdoor work.

- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 55 lbs).

- Required to wear company provided PPE.

- Exposure to industrial noise from plant machinery.
