Man Buyer Europe
Job Mission**:
Reporting to the Europe General Merchandising Director
S/He supports defining the appropriate selection of product mix in her/his Region and the correct interpretation in-store of the concept of collections in line with Merchandising guidelines and market specificities.
Supports the buying process in order to contribute to Region sales targets achievement of Men lines.
Has an in-depth knowledge of Valentino Collections and Heritage and transfers to Sales Personnel all relevant information on the product in order to maximize sales.
S/He knows the luxury fashion industry and monitors competitor trends and activities.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Buying**:
Supports Senior Buyer during the selection process of products of the Regional Master Order in line with market needs to guarantee sales target and sell through achievement by line, country and store
Follows up on processes according to the guidelines set by the Company and based on knowledge of regional market and sales results
Implements Buying Strategy guidelines and themes of collection by store in terms of product mix and quantities.
Liaises with Merchandising and Planning during buying and in course of season to guarantee seasonal/carry over/core assortment in line with OTB and prompt reorders.
**Market and Product Analysis**:
Constantly analyzes sales performance YTD and STD in terms of mix and stock level, in order to ensure the optimal product assortment and maximize business opportunities.
Analyzes and understands market specificities in terms of fashion trends, positioning of competitors and characteristics of clientele, through a constant presence on the market
Visits Stores to understand sales trends and verify the correct product assortment taking action to drive sales of man lines shared with Store Manager and Department Managers
Daily communication with stores to satisfy client requests
Weekly store touch-base by Area to best support stores and drive business
Constant dialogue with Merchandising to provide feedback on region performance and market needs
Supports ensuring the correct launch and rotation of seasonal products, product displays inside the Store and windows, according to Merchandising guidelines and man performance to drive business
**Stock Movements**:
Monitors stock movements and levels daily
Contributed to the implementation of carry over replenishment of man products with replenishment tool to guarantee stock levels and maximize sales
Actions transfers and consolidations of Man lines regularly according to business priorities and stock efficiency
Collaborates with Merchandising and Planning to guarantee adequate stock coverage and replenishment
Liaises with Customer Service, Logistics and Retail Operations to guarantee the correct product flow
Ensures stock efficiency at FP and MD
**Product Training**:
Performs seasonal training on the product to sales Personnel to ensure collection product knowledge roll out in the region
**Skills requirements**:
Computer skills required mastering excel and database extractions/pivot tables, analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
5 years of experience in similar role in the luxury industry, specifically on Man Products will be considered a plus
