Management Assistant
The Communication Specialist ensures the correct and complete communication to internal and/or external parties, to effectively inform and connect selected audiences resulting in a positive Nutreco brand and image, which can be Nutreco / Trouw / Skretting in general, but may also be aimed at building and executing all communication to facilitate a business / customer community and to communicate and/or brand effectively and efficiently to the business partners and end-users. The Communication Specialist is an experienced communications professional, preferably seasoned in the fields of life sciences and technology.
Key strength is to support / build a community and to translate complex content into strong and understandable commercial messaging targeted to the relevant audience. The Communication Specialist is part of the communication team in which his/her role is to organize and execute all technical and commercial content while keeping focused on the final goal to develop profitable sales.
The focus of the Communication Specialist role can be either internal or external.
An internal Communication Expert is responsible for managing internal communication programs and processes which have the objective to effectively cascade down from Executive / Senior management to management and workforce information on changes in corporate policy and practices. This also comprises reverse communication, from employee upwards and among employees, stimulated by the modern digital technologies.
Externally focused, the role is the company's touch point with all external stakeholders. One of the objectives is to gain coverage in the media for the company, in order to maintain a positive public image for Nutreco, build brand awareness and establish relationships with the company's diverse audiences. This includes development of news releases and feature story ideas, as well as hosting news conferences, organising media campaigns, handling media queries and organizing interviews with senior executives.
Social media platforms are also key to promoting Nutreco's brand and key messages through active stakeholder engagement. He/she is also responsible for all Crisis Communications and regularly conducts global training of communications officers of Nutreco on the established corporate protocol.
Job Description: Plan and calendar: Provides input for and executes a communication plan and calendar, within the given guidelines and budget of an assigned medium (intranet, internet, newsletter, etc. ) and/or area, in order to deliver efficient, timely, and complete communication activities. Content management: Coordinates production of content and/or edits content for different on- and offline channels (intranet, internet, newsletter, etc. ), in order to realize up to date and complete content that contains the desired message in the appropriate communication style. Brand Management: Develop and support initiatives to strengthen the Nutreco brand and the many product brands, maintaining Nutreco's brand while the strengths of the individual or local brands are preserved. Reputation Management: Safeguards Nutreco's reputation and standing continuously, audits of Nutreco's publications and company logo, and independent evaluation of Nutreco's website(s). Projects: Participates in various communication related projects throughout Nutreco and contributes to project results through appropriate communication approaches. Coordination: Coordinates and supports colleagues and internal stakeholders in the production of on- and offline communication tools and materials, in order to support the business needs that lead to effective communication. Evaluation: Assesses the effect of communication activities against business objectives, desired quality and positioning strategy, in order to achieve an effective communication and continuous improvement of strategy and tools.
