We are seeking an experienced accounting manager with strong experience of full sets of accounts to manage the general ledger close and to facilitate the transition of the transactional financial process (General ledger/Fixed assets/Account Receivable/Account payable) from Italy finance team to Global Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC) in Singapore. Reporting to Senior Manager, Finance Shared Service based in Singapore, this is an individual contributor role based in Milan, Italy.
Take a closer look at the responsibilities:
**General Ledger**:
- Manage the monthly general ledger close and reporting using Navision system.
- Drive the General ledger account reconciliation cleanup. This includes preparing General Ledger account audit schedule in English for all every Balance sheet GL for all assets and liabilities and equity for its breakdown, validity, and completeness.
- Assist FSSC GL team in maintain GL/audit reconciliation schedules in excel and subsequently in Blackline on an ongoing basis.
- Facilitate the transition from local finance team to FSSC GL team for ownership/posting of Navision journals.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Italy IFRS financial statements packages submission to head office for Group.
**Fixed Assets**:
- Partner with Milan finance team, operational team and external consultant engaged to cleanup an accurate current list of fixed assets in English.
- Work closely with FSSC fixed asset team and SAP team to implement and maintenance the fixed assets initially in SAP. This will involve establish fixed assets procedures with users i. e. , Request/write off/ transfer/counting & etc.
- Facilitate eventual transition to FSSC fixed asset team to maintain the fixed assets register and accounting.
**Account Payables**:
- Work with FSSC AP team to maintain an accurate payment list.
- Participate in the transition of payments process to FSSC AP team.
- Enforce all proper documentation and maintenance of suppliers' invoices and payment info.
- Enforce all Invoices and payment info recording in English for Navision.
- Work with FSSC AP to maintain the up-to-date prepayment and aged account payables listing.
- Follow up with HR and local team for adoption and compliance to ASM expense policy.
**Account Receivables**:
- Work closely with FSS AR team & customers for collection to reduce AR aging overdue.
- Enforce all Invoices info recording in English for Navision.
- Participate in the transition of royalty invoicing to FSSC AR team.
- Assists in the receipt recording in transition to FSSC AR team.
**SAP S4 Hana**:
- Participate S4 design, adoption, and implementation.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent preferably with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Good communication skills in English
- Proficient with Navision.
- Experience in SAP will have an advantage.
- Resourceful and initiative-taking, ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
