Innovation & Design (I&D) is pioneering Bain's firm-wide efforts to meet unprecedented client demand for digital innovation, new business building, product & service solutions to drive new growth.
I&D brings together a diverse mix of Innovation Consultants, Designers and Tech specialists to ensure that we are supporting our clients throughout their digital transformation and innovation journey.

**Common stages of work include**:
**Discovery**: Help clients understand the business, user and technology landscape.
Identify priorities and assess risks to generate a transformative path forward.
**Ideation**: Use design principles to guide ideation, continue to refine priorities and focus on highest potential opportunities.
**Design and Validate**: Create concept prototypes based on deep user ethnography to bring an idea to life, and test customer desirability, commercial viability and tech feasibility.
**Create and Launch**: Build the product, the business and the venture team and launch full-scale new businesses, business models and digital products or services.
**Scale**: Hack the business and drive commercial growth of the corporate startup, product or service.
We work with our clients to fully understand the impact of digital on their business and set priorities that will transform their vision into value creation and help them create new innovative businesses.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:
The Innovation & Design Manager for Commercial Operations will work with the EMEA lead of I&D, the I&D global operations team and EMEA talent lead to manage day-to-day operations of the group (excluding Staffing/Professional Development) and contribute to the growth and scaling of I&D, with a focus on strategic, commercial and financial priorities.
It is an exciting opportunity to shape the operations of a rapidly growing team and touch every part of the commercial/ operations process.
- Lead regional pipeline management and drive commercial acceleration
- Oversee the identification and tracking of revenue opportunities for I&D - allocating them to regional leaders and holding those colleagues accountable
- Represent I&D on pipeline calls with various teams and practices within Bain to promote capabilities, in particular with the Vector, Strategy and Customer practices
- Triage inbound commercial demand and prioritize opportunities for staffing
- Prepare for and lead the weekly I&D pipeline call with regional leadership team to track regional demand and address any queries
- Analyze pipeline/ financials data and report out on key performance metrics such as win rates for regional leadership
- Support leadership team on client development work and pricing conversations
- Support the regional growth strategy and overall operations management
- Take an active part in helping scale I&D in EMEA by driving select strategic analysis, preparing internal executive discussions and modeling business plans
- Act as the central point in the development, communication, implementation and tracking of strategic priorities - working closely with I&D priority owners
- Continually identify and execute on opportunities to deliver against the growth priorities - for instance by continuing to clarify the I&D value proposition
- Drive regular operations reporting to I&D EMEA regional leader and align key operations decisions/ priorities to further improve and develop the operating model
- Coordinate operations activities and be the "go-to person" for leadership team for all operations topics beyond Staffing/Professional Development (covered by staffing/PD lead)
- Respond to ad-hoc operations requests and coordinate within team
- Foster a collaborative and connected culture
- Be a culture carrier and keep pulse on team morale and motivation; help send out surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and sentiment; synthesize feedback, help diagnose issues and drive initiatives to imp
