Abbott Vascular Netherlands in Heerlen, is one of the two Abbott Vascular Tier 1 distribution centers responsible for the worldwide distribution of Abbott's vascular products.

From our 10, 000 m2 warehouse we ship an average of 1, 700 deliveries per day (700. 000 units per month) to hospitals, Abbott distributors, Abbott affiliates in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South America.

Every day, more than 150 employees in our warehouse and in supporting departments work on processing customer orders, maintaining a high service level to ensure that our customers receive the right products on time.

Abbott Vascular Netherlands offers a complete and high-standard Supply Chain solution, including an extensive range of value-add logistics activities such as labeling, relabeling, and reworking of products to meet country-specific needs.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Business partner with EMEA & INTL Commercial, Customer Service and affiliate organizations

Responsible for managing 3rd party suppliers for transportation (budget, selection, contracts, SLA)

Responsible for Export compliance & freight (network) security for the AVN Site (AEO, Known Consignor)

Leading the Abbott Vascular Customer Service, Transportation, Export and Compliance team

Realize excellent customer service level for all customers

Assure adherence and keep AVN site up to the required standards of the medical device directive and medical device warehousing ISO13485 and environmental management system requirements e. g.

ISO14001, Zero Waste to Landfill.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop and execute a strategy for EMEA supply chain related service & delivery models in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (like EMEA commercial).

Manage AVN 3rd party freight suppliers for Direct parcel and Affiliate freight lanes (EMEA & INTL)

Collaborate with other Abbott logistic counterparts to identify and improve freight efficiency, 3PL management and reduce costs.

Actively seek for opportunitiesto improve EMEA & INTL service levels & (freight) cost reductions

Ensure site wide compliance with export compliance regulations, & freight network security according to AEO and Known Consignment standards

Lead the Customer Service & Transportation team (including Customs Trade & Compliance)

Drive an inclusive & collaborative culture, utilizing AVN About You principles

Oversees prompt handling of all Service complaints & identify opportunities for structural improvements.

Ensure compliance with Quality, Legal, EHS and Regulatory requirements

Key metrics are visible and maintained throughout the business

As MT member share the team responsibility for the overall performance of AVN and coaching of the organization.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Logistics or Materials Management, Master's Degree is preferred

Proven project & change management skills

3-5 Years experience In Customer Service / Transportation / Export Compliance roles

Excellent knowledge English language (verbal and written)
