About the job
As a visualisation data engineer manager, you will:
Design and deliver reporting solutions of excellent quality leveraging data from our new cloud platform while meeting business expectations.
Develop your career and be responsible for the creation of clear, reliable and informative dashboards while helping define what good looks like in our visualisation capability.
Explore a large amount of data and analyze complex phenomena that impact the Sky business.
Interact with business stakeholders to understand their needs and propose the best approach to data representation.

What You'll Do
Be part of the Data Visualization Practice within the Data Platform team, mentoring and coaching other members.
Manage, monitor and develop the data visualization platform in terms of licenses and organizational definition, interacting with Sky group and local teams.
Work within an international team for the management of data visualization services.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve and rationalise applications and processes across all squads within the team, collaborating closely with team members and subject matter experts.
Continuously implement, promote and improve our ways of working, defining best practices, frameworks, and processes.
Co-work with colleagues from other business units with different backgrounds, cultures, and roles to design innovative solutions, contributing deep domain knowledge and highlighting opportunities, risks, and challenges.
Work closely with Data Custodians and Data Governance experts to achieve high data quality standards.
Be a key member within a squad, understanding and contributing to the agile delivery process and taking ownership of your team's software quality from concept to production.
Drive the production of reusable code and modules where appropriate to maximize effort and reduce development costs by applying Agile delivery principles.
Your skills:
At least five years of experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools in complex business projects.
Proven experience working with large, complex datasets in a cloud environment.
At least five years of experience with SQL applied to enterprise-grade projects.
Extensive data analysis and interpretation background to critically evaluate data from various sources, helping key partners understand and maximize the potential of data.
Self-motivator with energy and drive for continuous improvement and a focus on delivering results.
Proven ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-moving commercial environment.
Exceptional communication and social skills with a demonstrable ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Ability to act as a business translator to address analytical requirements quickly while maintaining high-quality standards.
Ability to 'think outside the box' to develop pragmatic solutions to mitigate risks and solve issues.
Ability to adapt to changing technological and business priorities.
Knowledge of Lean and/or Agile practices is appreciated.
Familiarity with Data Governance principles is appreciated.
Proven experience with cloud-based solutions is appreciated.
Experience with Python, R, or equivalent query languages is a plus.
