What you'll do:
- Be a servant leader for one or multiple teams in the Data area by guiding people in their career path and supporting growth opportunities for each engineer (training, conferences, learning materials, mentors etc.
);
- Define a way of working in the teams that enables high autonomy, high alignment and a streamlined product engineering process;
- Be the driver throughout the onboarding of new Mambuvians, in an efficient & scalable manner;
- Define recruiting objectives to acquire new skills, or create capacity to satisfy business needs, and competitiveness at team level;
- Ensuring that production operations are smooth and high quality engineering approach is in place;
- Work closely with Product Manager, Staff Engineer and Principal Engineer to enable the teams to deliver.
- Ensure that the roadmap is successful delivery, on-time and on budget.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in working with B2B SaaS products;
- Strong leadership skills, in regards to establishing trust, transparency, direction and goals;
- Strong people management skills, able to understand people ambitions and align them to organisation needs and offer constant guidance and feedback for achieving them; proven track record of successfully leading and managing high-performing engineering teams;
- Expertise in suggesting and implementing changes based on "connecting the dots" on things that come up repeatedly to find elegant solutions for them in close collaboration with the teams;
- Proven track record in delivering high impact projects;
- Experience in excelling production operations;
- Excellent written and verbal technical and personal communication skills in English.
**Your first 3 months in Mambu will look like this**:
- ** Onboarding and Immersion.
**Getting to know teams in your area; onboarding to the product and operations; meeting and getting to know your peers engineering managers, directors; gaining knowledge about Mambu's products and services, short term and long term challenges;
- ** Domain exploration**: collecting knowledge and artefacts from Data Services area; understanding key initiatives, projects and operational challenges; reviewing existing processes and starting to get on-hands with it;
- ** Strategy formulation**:synthesising findings from the domain exploration phase; identifying key objectives and aligning with stakeholders; defining the cross-organisational implementation roadmap alongside your teams and peers.
