Minimum qualifications:
- Experience managing and leading a team focused on the areas of customer success, deployment, support, operations, and product offerings related to hybrid/on-premise cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience supporting customers in cloud operations (e. g. , launch and capacity planning, product release management), technical support, escalation management, or IT consulting.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, interfacing with executive stakeholders, and driving customer technical implementations.
- Experience in telecommunications, networking, and mobile edge technology (e. g. , 5G, NFV) in a technical capacity.
- Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration/teamwork, and presentation skills.
**About the job**:
As Manager for Google Distributed Cloud Edge (GDCE), you will lead a team that engages with customers/partners and internal Google teams during all phases of the deployment.
You and your team will coordinate order placement and fulfillment, help develop support models and solutions, facilitate creation of roadmaps and workflows, and partner with the support organization to operate and maintain the GDCE infrastructure.
In this role, you and your team will serve as the escalation point for customers/partners in case of emergencies, drive monthly/quarterly business reviews, lead discussions around expansion and forecasting, and participate in product roadmap and feature upgrade discussions.
You will help improve product offerings by providing customer/partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Development and Engineering.
You will be the conduit between the customers/partners and organizations be successful.
**Responsibilities**:
- Build and manage the Operations team in EMEA that assists with the full lifecycle deployments and support.
- Analyze, optimize, and drive business flow from business opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.
- Improve product offerings by providing customer/partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Development and Engineering.
- Ensure prompt and proper resolution of technical problems that affect customers/partners, including escalation to additional Google teams, and serve as central communicator for those teams during critical times.
Develop recommendations for addressing future issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Support teams.
