**WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH**:
Innovation & Design (I&D) is pioneering Bain's firm-wide efforts to meet unprecedented client demand for digital innovation, new business building, product & service solutions to drive new growth.
I&D brings together a diverse mix of Innovation Consultants, Designers and Tech specialists to ensure that we are supporting our clients throughout their digital transformation and innovation journey.

**Common stages of work include**:
- Discovery: Help clients understand the business, user and technology landscape.
Identify priorities and assess risks to generate a transformative path forward.
- Ideation: Use design principles to guide ideation, continue to refine priorities and focus on highest potential opportunities.
- Design and Validate: Create concept prototypes based on deep user ethnography to bring an idea to life, and test customer desirability, commercial viability and tech feasibility.
- Create and Launch: Build the product, the business and the venture team and launch full-scale new businesses, business models and digital products or services.
- Scale: Hack the business and drive commercial growth of the corporate startup, product or service.
We work with our clients to fully understand the impact of digital on their business and set priorities that will transform their vision into value creation and help them create new innovative businesses.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:
The Manager (Innovation and Design, Regional Operations) will work with the I&D Senior Director (EMEA Strategy and Operations) and the I&D global operations team to manage the daily operations of the I&D EMEA business.
In addition, the manager will take a significant role in further developing I&D in EMEA, esp.
on training, Talent (HR/PD) and additional special strategic projects.
It is an exciting opportunity to shape the operations of a rapidly growing team and touch every part of the talent and operations processes.
**Key responsibilities and selected business functions**:
- Knowledge Management (supporting role)
- Support knowledge management and internal documentation of I&D
- Support integration and collaboration with other relevant practices (typically Vector, Strategy, Customer practices)
- Help to identify opportunities for further I&D-related IP development (e. g.
points of view, selling materials, credentials, 'how-to' guides, etc. )
in collaboration with I&D leadership team and the relevant Bain practices
- Support global I&D team to capture case-related information from client development and case team efforts
- Support senior director to act as a clearinghouse/go-to resource for all I&D operations information, pointing people to resources when asked
- Training (functional lead)
- Drive training curriculum for I&D in EMEA
- Drive training schedule for the team based on close individual/ cohort alignment
- Spot and share training opportunities for I&D to join, e. g.
within Bain or external offerings
- Support training curriculum improvements and take lead for selected initiatives (in alignment with global I&D training lead)
- Talent (functional lead, split of operations with manager, I&D EMEA program mgmt.
)
- Run HR management
- Drive all HR related topics to grow the team and help each team member to thrive within its individual career path
- Solve (ad-hoc) people & talent (HR) related questions from team members, in close collaboration with all relevant Bain internal functions (e. g.
local HR)
- Coordinate with global I&D team on HR-related topics, e. g.
cross-regional transfers
- Run Professional Development for I&D in EMEA
- Lead regular PD processes to collect case end reviews, organize performance reviews and promotion discussions
- Assign PD advisors and ensure regular catch-up of advisors and advisees
