The Compensation and Benefits Manager will be a member of Colleague Total Rewards and Wellbeing (CTRW) and Colleague Experience Group (CEG) teams in Italy.
This role is responsible for the strategy, implementation, and delivery of colleague benefits in Italy and other markets in EMEA, as well for the market-level implementation of global compensation programs.
The individual will report to Director, Compensation & Benefits, EMEA.
Key responsibilitiesStrategy, implementation, and ongoing management of core colleague benefits programs such as pensions and insurance. Own and manage relationships with external benefits vendors, in line with American Express vendor governance requirements. Compensation subject matter expert supporting market business leaders in strategic decisions on compensation, aligned to American Express global compensation philosophy and programs. Support activities related to compliance with EU pay transparency directive across markets in EMEA. Support delivery of wellbeing and recognition priorities in the market, in partnership with global program leads. Compliance with all regulatory frameworks and American Express protocols, procedure, policies, and audit requirements. Partnership with Compensation and Benefit Operations, Medical, Talent Acquisition and International Colleague Strategic Partner teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of compensation and benefits initiatives in the market. Leverage opportunities to participate in global and regional C&B projects in support of our Colleague Value Proposition.
Minimum Qualifications5+ years of progressive HR experience. Outstanding technical skills in both compensation and benefits delivery. Demonstrated understanding of the drivers of compensation and benefit program changes in current market environment. Ability to manage third party advisers and vendor. Growth mindset, exceptional relationship building and influencing skills, ability to work autonomously with multiple stakeholders. Fluency in English.
