**The Challenge**:

You will report directly to the Director, Global IP, located in South Korea.

You will have strong working relations with the other IP managers based in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Finland, and the IP paralegal based in Almere, the Netherlands.

You will be part of the global IP generation team with IP managers/attorneys in the US, Japan, Korea, Finland, and the Netherlands.

**Location

This role is based out of the Baranzate, Milan area.

In this position, up to 20% travel may be required to accommodate the global footprint of the IP generation team, including trips to our Catania office

**Education

- Degree educated in mechanical engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics, or other relevant semiconductor engineering discipline.

- ASM especially encourages people who are European Patent Attorneys or partially qualified to become one to apply.

Patent Attorneys registered in other countries with relevant experience are also considered.

**Experience

- You have been self-driven and capable of operating with a degree of autonomy.

- You have a deep scientific interest and a willingness to become an expert in the semiconductor industry.

**Required skills

- Able to generate IP effectively in a multicultural, dynamic and demanding high tech environment.

- Able to analyze IP situations as well as relevant future IP developments in order to conceptualize this into reliable expert advice and direction.

- Able to communicate complex messages clearly to a variety of stakeholders.

- Able to effectively work in a diverse and global team.

- Fluent communication in both English and Italian.
