About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented manager to assume the role of Manager of Distribution & Revenue Excellence.
In this role, you will oversee the rate loading process across our Synxis and HMS systems, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all room rates, availability, and add-on packages.
Additionally, you will drive excellence in the management of reservations, ensuring that guest data and booking details meet our highest standards.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue and streamline distribution processes.
Key Responsibilities
**Rate Loading & Distribution**:
- Oversee the rate loading process across Synxis and HMS systems, ensuring that room rates, availability, and special offers are accurately loaded and updated.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of rate distribution across all online travel agents (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and direct booking channels.
- Coordinate the add-on packages (e. g. , breakfast, parking, spa treatments) to ensure these options are correctly displayed and available for booking.
**Revenue Optimization**:
- Work closely with the Revenue Management team to align rate loading and distribution strategies with overall pricing objectives, market trends, and occupancy forecasts, ensuring maximum revenue generation.
- Report on the performance of different revenue channels and provide actionable insights to senior management, helping to refine and improve pricing strategies.
**Reservations Excellence**:
- Champion excellence in reservations by reviewing guest details, booking dates, room types, and preferences to ensure the highest standards of accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits on reservation data to maintain exceptional quality and completeness.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to promptly address any discrepancies or errors, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
**Systems Coordination & Troubleshooting**:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for issues related to Synxis and HMS, working closely with the IT and Operations teams to resolve any system-related challenges.
- Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot any discrepancies in rate loading or availability.
**Collaboration & Reporting**:
- Work in close partnership with the Revenue Management team to ensure that rates are aligned with pricing strategies and market demands.
- Provide regular reports on rate loading, availability, system performance, and revenue outcomes to senior management.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience with Synxis, HMS, or similar hotel distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of rate loading, inventory management, and distribution channels.
- Demonstrated expertise in ensuring excellence in reservations, with an ability to maintain accurate guest data and booking details.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting system discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (Revenue, Operations, IT).
- Analytical skills to produce detailed reports and track system performance.
