D-Orbit is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our MAIT engineering team. As an integral part of the group, you'll be a key player in shaping the manufacturing processes of our cutting-edge programs. You will design and implement new manufacturing processes ensuring cost and quality targets for new programs as well as collaborate with the design team to incorporate design for manufacturability. Additionally, you will play a critical role in improving and maintaining existing production processes.

Key Responsibilities:Technical management of new manufacturing processesDesign and implement new production flow for complex systemsEnsure manufacturing systems are capable of hitting volume rate, cost, and quality targets for new programsAdvising on design improvements for components, subsystems, procedures, equipment, and toolingSupport facilities development, floor layout, and material flow definitionContinuous improvement to current operations to enhance efficiencyIdentify, design and implement tooling for the production phasesIdentify automation opportunitiesAuthor technical documents. Requirements:At least 3 years of professional experience in a Manufacturing & Production Engineering environment within the Aerospace industry. Expertise in the industrialization of new productsKnowledge of assembly processes and testing and detailed experience of all types of Manufacturing Systems. Hands-on experience with complex systemsStrong background in cost breakdown and analysisStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProfessional proficiency in English. University degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Mechanical/Production Engineering or related engineering disciplinePreferred Qualifications:Experience in implementing automation into production processesExpertise in KPIsFamiliar with continuous improvement philosophiesFamiliarity with relevant standards (e. g. , ECSS)Fluency in ItalianAt D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are not just values, they are integral to our mission and the way we operate.
