D-Orbit is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our MAIT engineering team. As an integral part of the group, you'll be a key player in shaping the manufacturing processes of our cutting-edge programs. You will design and implement new manufacturing processes ensuring cost and quality targets for new programs as well as collaborate with the design team to incorporate design for manufacturability. Additionally, you will play a critical role in improving and maintaining existing production processes. Key Responsibilities: Technical management of new manufacturing processes Design and implement new production flow for complex systems Ensure manufacturing systems are capable of hitting volume rate, cost, and quality targets for new programs Advising on design improvements for components, subsystems, procedures, equipment, and tooling Support facilities development, floor layout, and material flow definition Continuous improvement to current operations to enhance efficiency Identify, design and implement tooling for the production phases Identify automation opportunities Author technical documents. Requirements: At least 3 years of professional experience in a Manufacturing & Production Engineering environment within the Aerospace industry. Expertise in the industrialization of new products Knowledge of assembly processes and testing and detailed experience of all types of Manufacturing Systems. Hands-on experience with complex systems Strong background in cost breakdown and analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Professional proficiency in English. University degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Mechanical/Production Engineering or related engineering discipline Preferred Qualifications: Experience in implementing automation into production processes Expertise in KPIs Familiar with continuous improvement philosophies Familiarity with relevant standards (e. g. , ECSS) Fluency in Italian At D-Orbit, diversity and inclusivity are not just values, they are integral to our mission and the way we operate.
