Operational Excellence ManagerAbout the RoleWe at WExecutive are searching for a Operational Excellence Manager for our client.
This role is crucial in driving operational excellence within the manufacturing plant.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and executing continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This position will be part of the Manufacturing Excellence Regional team, working closely with the Plant Manager and the site leadership team to implement lean manufacturing practices, promote technological innovations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across production lines. Responsibilities:Collaboration with the Plant Manager: Work closely with the Plant Manager to understand operational challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and align Manufacturing Excellence pillar activities with business goals.
Co-lead plant-wide initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, optimizing resources, and improving overall performance. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to monitor production performance, identify trends, and regularly report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the plant leadership team and corporate organization. Continuous Improvement Leadership: Lead the development and execution of continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, eliminate waste, and optimize production processes.
Analyze manufacturing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements to boost throughput, reduce downtime, and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Drive the adoption of best practices across all production areas through benchmarking and coordinate Kaizen activities to reduce losses and drive continuous improvement. Training and Development: Lead and support the training and certification of employees at all levels on manufacturing techniques, best practices, and problem-solving methods.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and workforce empowerment. Project Management: Oversee and lead projects related to manufacturing excellence, ensuring timely execution within budget.
Utilize project management tools and techniques to track progress, mitigate risks, and achieve successful project completion. Safety and Compliance: Foster a safe working environment and support company safety programs to reduce incidents and injuries. Qualifications & Experience RequiredEducation and Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e. g. , Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Certification) is a plus. Experience:At least 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of implementing manufacturing excellence initiatives. Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Experience in project management, leading cross-functional teams, and driving large-scale process improvement initiatives. Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and present to senior management and operational teams. Language Skills:English proficiency at a B2 level minimum.
