Your next big move starts here. Job Summary: The Manufacturing Lead for the Laser / Turret department is accountable for assisting in the oversight of the operations in the department. This position actively works as a liaison between departmental staff and the shift supervisors. This position is also accountable for the setup, maintenance, and operation of the machines assigned to them in the Laser / Turret department, completing all work orders assigned to them according to the specific work order instructions and all Kendall Howard internal procedures. This position is on our 1st Shift which is, Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, and Fridays 6:00 am to 10:00 am. It's more than a job, it's a place where your well-being matters. Essential Functions: Complete all work orders assigned to that area. Check that all paperwork on each job order has the matching revision level. Check all parts to print. Ensure all parts are properly labeled and moved to the next area when completed. Inform the Plant Manager about any irregularities on work orders. Maintain their area regarding organization and cleanliness. Follow all safety procedures and policies without exception. Work with the V. P. of Production to improve and maintain safety systems and procedures. Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of equipment as requested. Maintain the highest level of quality in all parts that are produced. Work with the Quality Auditors, Quality Manager, and others to ensure quality parts are always produced. Meet all Key Performance Indicators. Train all temporary workers and new hires in matters of company policy, standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and best practices. Assist in the evaluation of team members' performance and make recommendations regarding reclassification, discipline, or additional training to the Shift Supervisor. Provide communication to team members regarding policy or procedural changes. Communicate team members' concerns and suggestions to Shift Supervisors. Oversee the daily operations of the department and ensure team members conform to the Company's quality, performance, and environmental standards. Manage and ensure adherence to the department work schedule. Desired Qualifications: The Laser/Turret Lead candidate should have at least 2 years of setup and operational experience in similar machinery that is utilized at Kendall Howard. For the right candidate without experience, consideration may be given to train for the position and will be at the discretion of the Hiring Manager. High attention to detail and good math skills are required. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time throughout the duration of the shift.
