Offer DescriptionThe research project concerns the general theme of marine conservation and identifies the fish communities associated with infralittoral rocky reefs as an indicator/descriptor in order to pursue the following objective: to assess the health status of fish communities along the Italian coasts, contributing to the objectives of the "Marine Strategy" Directive which include the achievement of the so-called "good environmental status" (GES).

The project includes the following activities:

In situ data collection, using non-destructive visual census methods by means of SCUBA diving, outside and in some sites within Italian Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). Data compilation and reporting. Therefore, the following requirements are necessary:

Italian degree diploma according to the law preceding the Ministerial Decree 509/99, or Italian master degree (D. M.

5/5/2004) in Biological, Natural, Environmental Sciences or equivalent qualification obtained abroad. PhD title or PhD thesis already submitted for evaluation. At least 1 publication on ISI journals.
