We have an exciting opportunity for a Market Access & Public Affairs Manager to join Norgine.
The person holding this position will report to the General Manager and be a member of the Market Access team.
The core responsibility of the of a Market Access & Public Affairs Manager is have management of the Market Access & Public Affairs Team, value communication of all Norgine brands, management of payer communication in the account management field force structure, support the New Products Development & Implementation Market Access (NPDI MAx) process in Norgine to ensure appropriate market access for the Norgine new product pipeline and reference contact for the pricing policies of all Norgine brands as local interface of the Global Pricing Committee.
This will be a permanent role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Management of the Public Affairs project for all Norgine brands in collaboration with the GM - Maximising the reimbursement potential of all Norgine brands - Understanding and communicating the unmet need - Understanding the pricing and reimbursement environment for the intervention and preparing in collaboration with global and local regulatory affairs & commercial team the market to receive it - Obtaining reimbursement/Price/Commercial position at launch - Delivery of the value message to AIFA (Medicinal Products Agency) or Ministry of Health (Medical Devices) - To support NPDI process suggesting local data pack needed in order to obtain reimbursement at the appropriate price as quickly as possible - To maintain an agreed pricing strategy - Ensuring to the healthcare intervention that our portfolio can be prescribed at a national/regional/local level - Obtain agreement from the healthcare systems that the products can be prescribed by the defined group of prescribers via the formulary systems in place first at national and then at regional level - Ensure appropriate guidelines are in place so that the appropriate patient gets access to the healthcare intervention ensuring that access is maintained and grown after the launch phase of the product - Develop appropriate pricing and reimbursement strategies to maintain price and expand access to all eligible patients - Understand the impact of the intervention on the healthcare system to enhance the value message, maintain price and expand use - Adhere to Norgine compliance policies as well as applicable compliance laws (Legislative Decree 231/2001 and to the extent applicable, Legislative Decree 24/2023 and Law 62/2022), sector codes for promotional practices and data protection laws.
Complexity - The role involves the management of market access strategy and function in Norgine RCU - The job holder is accountable for health technology assessment, pricing and reimbursement strategy in the Norgine RCU Accountability - The individual will be accountable for the management of market access activities including provision of health economic and outcome data for Norgine pipeline and in Norgine RCU - The role will be highly integrated between Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs and Regulatory for the Norgine RCU - The role will work closely with the Global Market Access Department to enable market access strategy and value communication for Norgine Products Main tasks as MAPA - Responsible for the communication of value messages of Norgine brands to Norgine customers - Responsible for the development of national, regional and local value communication strategy for marketed products - Responsible for the management of Market Access and Public Affairs Team (office and field based) - Responsible for account management communication to payers and payer influencers of Norgine marketed products via RAM (Regional Access Managers) - Responsible for the development of the understanding and communication of unmet needs of Norgine pipeline products - Responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of the market access elements of the global brand plans - Responsible for the commission high quality national health economic research to generate, analyse and interpret outcomes data in support of brand commercial goals.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure that health economic research is aligned with the brand marketing strategy and directed at the development of promotional claims that support / enhance market access and brand positioning at the national level.
- Ensure that the health economic activities and tools demonstrate value from a payer perspective to support pricing, reimbursement and market/formulary access and utilisation goals.
- Work closely with Marketing, Regulatory and Medical Affairs to ensure consistency between clinical research and health economic research goals and outcomes.
- Develop a national regional and local health economic publication strategy, in collaboration with other departments, to appropriately disseminate outcomes research evidence, and to support the marketing goals for each brand.
- Commission appropriate health economic tools and engage in training relevant company staff in the utilisation of these tools to deliver key market access messages from a payer perspective Requirements Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the market access specificities and financing mechanisms of Italy is essential.
Experience in dealing with pricing, reimbursement and HTA for his/her territory assigned is essential.
Experience working within Oncology or Rare Disease Management or previous experience in a field role.
Strong interpersonal skills in relationship development, especially with payers at a regional and local level, especially in his/her territory assigned Strong project management skills with oversight experience in both internal and external projects.
Demonstrated multitasking and time management skills and experience.
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability in participating in cross-functional teams and negotiating and managing through influence.
Understanding of legal and regulatory issues impacting health economics labelling and promotional claims.
Demonstrated experience in managing sales and marketing at the strategic level.
Demonstrated good level of English skills.
