Market Development Manager Industrial
Position Summary
**Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES
1. The MDM is a partner of our sales companies and is responsible for the development and growth of sales in line with the Division's growth strategy. Key contact between the sales company and the manufacturing Division, the MDM drives all activities related to legacy sales, new projects and new product development.
2. The activities include but are not limited to:
- Define and implement short-term as well as long-term market development plans aligned with the Division's growth strategy
- Actively support new opportunities, identifying new product / solution developments by understanding customer pain points and unmet needs
- Conduct recurring market assessments and competitive analysis of the product lines, collect and share market feedback and optimize the product offering
- Define for each customer segment: investment strategy with expected returns, price positioning, and the definition and tracking of key performance indicators
3. Ensure plans are embedded into the country sales growth plans
4. Develop strong partnerships to win end users specifications
5. Identify target accounts and build relationship for potential partnerships
6. Develop and present products training to the sales companies
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Develops professional relationships with Sales Companies and Customers to establish and execute a growth strategy allowing to increase sales.
2. Schedule 'face to face' interaction with the Sales Companies to agree on local sales plans for the Division product portfolio.
3. Promotes the Division technologies, products, services and success stories to the Sales Companies and customers.
4. Coordinate sales company training requirements with specific emphasis on product training.
5. Actively monitor sales forecasts for the different regions and communicate sales deviations to the Division and provide corrective action plans as necessary.
6. Conducts competitive research, evaluates sales performance, and formulates goals and milestones for specific customers, products and systems.
7. Capture success stories and communicate these successes through Design wins.
8. Maintain the highest degree of customer service to the Sales Companies for strategically important customers.
9. Understands the organization's technical capabilities, operational capacity, and market information to influence the distribution growth plans and strategies;
10. Develops and maintains relationships with Sales Companies and customers to gain market knowledge and understand customer needs to further develop business opportunities.
**Qualifications
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Marketing & Engineering degrees and experience
- Minimum 5 years of field experience, preferably in international companies and B2B environment
- Fluent in English (oral and written). Additional languages are a plus (French, German, Italian)
- Sound knowledge of the focus market (more specifically coffee market) and product technologies
- Autonomous with excellent team spirit and motivational & personal skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent investigating skills, ability to clearly express market and customer needs & pains
- Travel required within Europe (up to 30%)
