Marketing & Bd Executive
Main purpose of the role: work with the Milan M&BD team to deliver incisive and value-added marketing and business development support ensuring key objectives in the firm´s business plan are achieved. Main duties and responsibilities:Market-specific bids/pitches – leading on bids, pitches, flyers and capability statements, working with the central bids team and sector leads where appropriate. Events – coordinate and execute events hosted by the firm or with the participation of third parties. Directory submissions – work and lead on directory submissions, including creating first draft, liaising with fee earners, submitting to the legal directories and follow-up on interviews during the research period and results. Profile-raising – working with the M&BD manager, PR, digital and events leads to effectively action opportunities to raise our profile in the areas of law covered by the Milan Office including the development and maintenance of creative content and collateral. Support development of thought leadership campaigns and assist the M&BD manager in delivering each campaign. International and cross-sector working - liaising with the other markets and sectors teams to understand the expertise that the firm can offer to clients and to ensure international cooperation and implementation of the Milan Office. CRM – be familiar with InterAction and Introhive, briefing tasks into the M&BD Hub where appropriate, and completing tasks where more efficient to do so. Website and intranet updates – ensuring all website and intranet content for the Milan Office is kept up to date, briefing tasks into the M&BD Hub where appropriate. Key relationships:Daily contact with M&BD Manager and the local M&BD team to deliver tactical marketing and business development activities across the Milan Office. Daily contact with fee earners to further strategic objectives of the Milan business plan. Works closely with other international M&BD team members. Work closely with other international M&BD team members to identify areas of best practice, opportunities to cross-sell and potential new joint marketing initiatives. Develop relationships with event organisers, trade bodies and journalists, as appropriate. Education / qualifications / experience:Minimum of three years industry, marketing or BD experience, with at least 12 months experience in a professional services firm preferredDemonstrates an understanding of the legal industry and commercial needs of clients in ItalyDegree in communication / marketing / public relationsFluent EnglishKnowledge and technical skills:Strong data analytics and reporting skillsAble to lead on pitching (including large scale panel RFPs).
Can accurately and efficiently identify contributory material for pitches.
