**Meaningful Work From Day One
The Marketing Director is a senior leader in the organisation, and an important member of the cross-functional regional leadership team (DgELT) and of the Europe Marketing Leadership Team (EUMLT).
The overall responsibility of the Marketing Director is to lead the marketing organisation in the territory.
In collaboration with the regional leadership team, the role is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the region.
The incumbent will have exposure to all aspects of the business, and involvement in cross-functional projects and initiatives including RtC and organisation design.
Specifically, the role is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the marketing and portfolio strategies and plans for the region, building the capability of the overall marketing team and providing leadership to the brand and marketing managers.
The role collaborates with multiple internal stakeholders, including the division and global brand teams, and marketing and commercial leaders.
The role also works closely with senior leadership at distributor and customer partners.

DgE represents a diverse and dynamic region, with a wide geographic scope (30 countries, ranging from Nordic and Baltics to the Netherlands, Italy, the Balkans and Greece) and 3rd party routes to consumer (RtC), working with more than 30 distributor partners and collaborating with their sales and marketing teams.
Developing Europe is composed of a multicultural team located in 12 offices across Europe with a relatively flat organisation, embracing agility, empowerment and inclusiveness.
Brown-Forman's business portfolio in the territory is largely led by our flagship brands, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and Finlandia Vodka, as well as presenting a significant opportunity for the Jack Daniel's flavoured expressions and our Super Premium brand portfolio.
**What You Can Expect**:
This position leads the Developing Europe marketing function with each of the three cluster marketing managers as key matrix reports:
Netherlands Nordic Baltics (NLNB)
Italy & Alps
Balkans
In addition, a Senior BBI Analyst and a regional Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Manager report to the Marketing Director.
**Strategic Direction
- Defines long-term marketing strategy for DgE; Including brand, portfolio & consumer strategies, ensuring full alignment with overall Global Marketing/Brands' Strategy.
- Participates as a member of the Regional Leadership team by providing input and leadership to influence the company's operations, strategic development, business and portfolio strategies and special projects as necessary, and reports agreed-upon metrics to the team.
- Develops long-term brand plans and oversees their integration into annual plans in alignment with the B-F Way of Brand Building.
- Identifies and evaluates the potential of current/future opportunities in the market, including new categories, brands, innovation and acquisitions.
- Seeks out portfolio development opportunities and synergies.
- Provides marketing leadership for the region's long-term strategic planning process.
**Marketing Organisation Leadership
- Provides strategic leadership to the DgE marketing teams
- Ensures that the marketing organisation in DgE is structured to effectively deliver against business priorities.
- Ensures that the capabilities of the marketing teams are developed in line with the global capability framework.
- Builds a talent pipeline of capable individuals, ensuring a comprehensive succession plan for key marketing roles in DgE.
- Provides direct people management to direct reports, including but not limited to: talent development, team development, succession planning, capability building, performance & growth planning, and business planning.
- Responsible for both long-term and annual DgE marketing budget/resource allocation and prioritisation.
- Creates a strong marketing community from the perspective of both culture and capability.
