This is a 12 month fixed term contract, covering a parental leave and will be based in Milan. Multi-lingual skills are desirable (Italian and English essential). About the Department The Investments Vector provides a broad range of investment products and solutions to suit clients' needs, now and in the future. We market our investment products through two core client channels: Wholesale : Financial Advisers, Wealth Managers, Discretionary Fund Managers and Global Banks Institutional: Pension Funds, Family Offices, Charities and Endowments, Insurance and Sovereign Wealth Funds. The Marketing Executive Italy will support the delivery of a wider range of marketing initiatives and plans focused on delivering the commercial and brand outcomes abrdn seeks to achieve. About the Role In collaboration with the Marketing Director EMEA, build the Marketing Strategy and operating model to deliver including: Managing the ongoing relationship with the Head of Distribution and the Distribution team members. Supporting the development of the annual marketing plan and activity aligned to the wider EMEA and Global plans and objectives. Support and inform the delivery of brand, thematic and product campaigns within the markets: Adapt and roll out centralized campaigns: campaign design & structure for the markets. Adopt global standards and processes and embed best methodologies across the markets. Design campaigns utilizing the full communications mix – PR, Advertising, Events, Digital, Emails etc. Maximize Distribution adoption of content and campaigns ensuring follow up to capitalize on opportunities. Digital Marketing Strategy roll out, with the support of digital colleagues: Align country and channel strategy to always-on digital marketing strategy. Develop and implement a direct email strategy in conjunction with Marketing Automation colleagues. Define a Social Media strategy with Digital colleagues. Collaborate with Search & Social Media colleagues on Paid Search (PPC) strategy as well as support on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) rollout across websites. Ensure local content is developed according to digital consumption. Fully digest digital activity dashboards to ensure all digital activity is appropriate and where applicable, work closely with digital colleagues to identify optimizations for future activity. Event strategy and management: Develop an event strategy (both proprietary and sponsored Third party) aligned to product priorities, along with Distribution. Oversee operational side of events. Deliver Marketing Activity and initiatives to time, scope and budget with a focus on maximizing opportunities and return on investment. Supervise marketing content production from the Investment Capability Marketing team. Assist with repurposing global marketing content; ensuring materials are revised to meet local compliance and brand requirements; work closely with channel marketing managers to develop new and innovative marketing collateral to support initiatives. Ensure suite of content is available to meet 'always on' promotion and campaign needs. Press agency relationship management, maximizing abrdn press coverage on focus themes and funds. Discover opportunities to improve marketing processes across the EMEA Marketing team. Ensure all EMEA Marketing activity follows global standards and processes. About the Candidate Requirements A marketing professional with early stage experience working as part of a channel marketing team. Highly motivated, flexible, teammate, great attention to details, personal initiative and ability to carry out projects autonomously are a must with a proven B2B / B2C track record. Understanding of the asset management industry and sophisticated client engagement. Knowledge of financial markets, preferably gained within an asset manager or financial services firm, as well as of different asset classes and investment styles. Experience in the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns on and offline. Experience of working alongside Distribution and developing collaborative take to market and conversion plans. Experience of working as part of a cross-functional project team to deliver a common goal. Sound organizational and scheduling skills. Competent digital literacy (ideally SalesForce, Eloqua, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) to perform job duties listed above. Teamwork: Displays willingness to collaborate and learn from others, including peers. Commerciality: Takes steps to understand the market, competitor activity and market. Experience of working in a business-to-business industry is desirable. Multi-lingual skills are desirable (Italian and English are a must). Previous experience of working with colleagues from different countries is desirable.
