Marketing Localization Program Manager
The Localization Center of Excellence is one of the functional areas that make up Technical Operations, which in turn is part of Technology & Innovation and provides solutions at scale across all DISW Business Segments.
Within this organizational framework, Localization provides localization solutions and local language content for all business areas within DISW, including Global Marketing.
The Marketing Localization Program Manager will report to the Director of Localization, while aligning with and ensuring success of Digital Marketing strategies and objectives through localization.
The Localization Marketing Program Manager:
- Serves as primary point of contact and liaison for various Marketing stakeholders, e. g.
campaign execution team, web team, campaign owners.
Maintains and fosters relationships with stakeholders, is an ambassador for Marketing and Globalization.
- Partners with stakeholders to drive globalization strategy, process optimization, technology strategy, and common approaches.
- Defines and captures KPIs/metrics, and reports results.
- Manages program cost, including vendor expenses.
- Drives localization from planning to release while spearheading department initiatives.
**Responsibilities
- Works with Digital Marketing coordinators to identify and prioritize scope of localization, and Service Levels agreed.
- Responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of various types of localized digital marketing assets and media.
- Initiates and manages marketing localization projects using a variety of localization and project/portfolio management and reporting tools, including but not limited to Wrike, Asana, JIRA, WorldServer, audio-visual localization and hosting platforms.
- Identifies issues and proactively drives solutions, working with internal and external experts and stakeholders.
- Working with cross-functional teams and experts, including vendors, develops and manages project plans and deliverables.
Tracks projects to completion, ensuring turnaround and quality levels agreed are met or exceeded.
Interacts with all stakeholders involved in the localization process as necessary, including external vendors.
- Partners with vendors to ensure program success.
- Develops open and effective communication with all stakeholders, ensuring project status and open issues are documented and stakeholders are informed in a timely manner.
- Provides regular status updates to business stakeholders.
- Monitors expenses against budget.
- Works with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams, including translation vendors, to optimize processes and drive automation and efficiencies.
**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Typically requires 3+ years of Localization experience, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 3+ years of Localization project management or program management experience, preferably in Marketing localization
- Experience identifying and understanding translation and localizability issues
- Self-motivated, with ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment, across time zones and international offices.
- Proven ability managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high quality localization projects on time and within budget
- Ability to process and analyze various sets of data and interpret them to make sound business decisions and propose solutions
- Thorough understanding of localization processes and technologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to build consensus across various cross-functional stakeholders
- Some travel may be required

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Experience using technologies involved in global marketing management and publishing a plus, e. g. , Wrike, Asana, WorldServer, as well as video localization and hosting platforms
- Understanding of Marketing content strategies a plus
- Experience and understanding of localization requirements for audio-visual content
- Experience using a Translation Management System and Translation Desktop tool a plus
- Proficiency in additional language(s) a plus.
- Experience using Business Analysis and Reporting tools
