Partner with the best The Material Expert is responsible for managing the material requirements and transactions coming from a non-conformity or a service request.
You will drive supply and/or repair activity with suppliers and within the organization to secure execution excellence at a project level in Avenza.
As a Material Expert, you will be responsible for:
Managing the material supply and/or repair coming from a non-conformity/observation/service request raised by Site Quality/Contractors relevant to material damaged during construction activities, starting from POR release up to material collection and shipment to Contractors or Customer site. Working together with Operations, Quality, and Logistics to ensure material readiness in line with project needs. Collaborating with suppliers and the fulfillment department to expedite material readiness and arrival in Avenza. Releasing the POR/PO for the entire Module organization for big/medium and small modules (PAU). Deploying continuous improvement and digital initiatives for material management. Seeking opportunities for cost savings across the business. To be successful in this role, you will:
Have an Associate's Degree in Supply Chain or a related field or equivalent experience (2+ years' experience). Have a BSc (Engineering is preferred) from an accredited University. Have a strong consciousness of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices. Display an ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across functions in a global-matrix environment. Be fluent in both English and Italian and hold an EU work permit. Possess good knowledge of site planning. Have good ERP knowledge (Oracle Application). Have knowledge of manufacturing management disciplines such as production and inventory control and standard cost systems. Have strong knowledge of standard Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access). Be willing to meet challenging requirements. Desired Characteristics: Not required but additional preferred elements include Certifications; APICS Certification.
