Material Planner
Avincis** is a leading company in the Emergency Aviation industry and it provides HEMS, firefighting, off-shore and MRO services. Avincis Italy is divided into 2 division, the Fixed Wing one manages the Italian Canadair (CL 415 fleet) composed of 18 planes while the Rotor Wing division manages more than 40 helicopters operating on 36 bases.
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join our office in Colico as a **Material Planner. **Reporting to the **Planning, Purchasing and Performance Lead**, the Material Planner is responsible for **planning and coordination of material requirements**, including material forecasting, demand planning, and initiating procurement actions in support of scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance activities. The Material Planner works closely with, and is tasked by, the Pt145 Production Planning Manager.
The Material Planner initiates strategic asset planning in conjunction with the 24 month forecast provided by the CAMO and drives the Base Maintenance Parts planning process within supply chain in direct support of the Pt145 Production Planning team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure parts are available to meet the planning requirements of the Pt145 Production Planning team.
- Manage availability of lifed items in accordance with the CAMO forecasts for removal.
- Work with the Purchasing team to order Long Lead Times Items to meet maintenance forecasts.
- Assess volume requirements against maintenance planning assumptions and ensure that stock management processes meet production plan requirements.
- Develop RFPs based on the production plan requirements.
- Keep all planning systems (MRP/ERP) or IT system accurately updated & resolve any issues as required.
- Work with the Parts Expeditor to assist in resolving aircraft material issues with Engineering, Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, and Quality Control.
- Carry out periodic reviews of component float levels for rotable and repairable parts to ensure sufficient inventory is maintained.
- Investigate and identify alternate and/or interchangeable part numbers based on airframe/engine manufacturers approved technical documentation so as to ensure the correctness of data and to avoid duplication of inventory.

- Familiarity with aircraft technical publications and provisioning data.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Preferably a Degree, or equivalent practical experience, in aeronautical engineering or an aviation supply chain related course.
- More than 5 years of relevant work experience in a technical or operational environment with at least two years in a materials planning team. Experience in an aviation environment will be highly regarded.
- Understanding of LEAN / JIT / Process improvement techniques, ideally with some practical implementation experience.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Colico, Lombardia: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
