Material Sourcing Specialist

**Role Description**:

His/Her task is to administrate the planning and the management of company's supplies and to control the purchasing activities, with a view to optimizing, improving storage flows and processes and reducing supplying cost.

**Responsibilities**:

- Knowledge of Purchasing and Material Supply procedures;

- Management of purchase orders;

- Delivery plan and suppliers reminders management;

- Raise purchase orders making sure of delivery lead times and other terms of supply;

- Negotiation of purchase conditions and supply contracts

- Monitor material planned orders and expedite deliveries, in consideration of the production schedule and stock levels;

- Control of supplies delivery times;

- Management of the sampling process and qualification of new suppliers and/or components and interaction with technical dept.

- Search for new suppliers and management of resourcing/savings projects;

- Interact in a collaborative way with the production supervisors in order to verify the supply plan is aligned with production requirements.

- Monitor stock levels and supply;

- Ensures optimal level of supply by ensuring the proper replenishment process.

**Requirements**:

Knowledge of materials;

Fluency in Italian & English;

Most advanced knowledge management systems, particularly SAP;

Accuracy, initiative, organizational and analytical skills;

Good ability to relate at all levels with stakeholders inside and outside the organization;

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs;

Degree or equivalent, preferably in technical area;

At least 3 years experience, within a Purchasing dept.
