Position Summary

Supervises the day-to-day activities in material management to ensure inventory levels and material flow meets current and future production needs.

Plan, direct, and monitor all supply and logistics activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of merchandise from suppliers to customers.

Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.

Activities may include: materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, storage, warehousing, logistics, transport and distribution.

Develop and implement supply and logistics plans, schedules and procedures; allocate labor and capital resources to meet targets in areas such as transit and delivery times; inventory levels; purchasing, warehousing, and storage costs; and service standards.

Liaise with functional and operational area managers (for example in customer service, sales and production planning) to ensure that supply and activities are integrated with other parts of the business.

Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop supply and logistics staff to ensure that resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

**Responsibilities

Schedules movement of materials based on stock levels, requests, and shipping and receiving.

Monitors the material storage and space utilization and makes recommendations.

Responsible for the balance of inventory levels and updated systems to maintain necessary information on inventory levels.

Partners with procurement to maintain satisfactory levels of raw materials.

May supervise other team members and prioritize team member tasks.

- Warehouse management and inventory turnover improvement

- Excess and obsolete stock management and strategy

- Sales projection definition

- Inventory projection definition and management of improvement

- Labor requirement plan definition

- Machine saturation and bottleneck analysis

- Supervision of procurement and production plan activities

- Identify and reduce or eliminate waste in all areas of a Supply Chain

**Qualifications

- Degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management

- Experience in MRP, WIP.

Production planning in complex industrial environment

- Experience with logistics practices and supply chain

- Results oriented, problem and decision making and team-work oriented

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Italian mothertongue, fluent English
