No Offer Description The current research programme concerns the design, fabrication, and characterization of oxide and non-oxide glasses, innovative glass ceramics, and their composites with metallic or ceramic reinforcement for energy conversion devices (electrochemical cells based on solid oxides).

The characterization techniques include thermal analysis and mechanical tests.

The study also includes morphological investigations by optical and electronic microscopy.

The studied materials include bulk samples and joining materials.

Industrial field application of the above materials with preparation of prototypes will be studied together with the simulation of their performance using adequate software; glass-based pastes robocasting deposition; recovery and recycling and remanufacturing of critical raw materials at the end of life.

Cost analysis and potential patent applications will also be investigated.
