BergamoMultinational company based in Orio al Serio is looking for MATERIALS PLANNER

Materials Planner will work with Suppliers to schedule and expedite material for delivery at the right time to achieve the production schedule and the customer requirements.

Actioning daily exception messages, maintaining system parameters and ensuring deliveries are received on time in full whilst maintaining the optimum levels of inventory.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

- Responsible for actioning all MRP exception messages on a daily basis.

- Review ERP recommendations to prepare, validate and schedule purchase orders to achieve optimal level of material availability.

- Utilize inventory tools and techniques to ensure right sizing of inventory availability.

- Manage inventory levels and check for any potential risks to supply, escalate to the Supply Chain Engineer (Supplier) and support with the action plan to recovery.

- Manage inventory levels and escalate any concerns with potential overstocks.

- Build relationships with suppliers ensuring the deliveries are received on time in full, participating on Supplier On Time Delivery activities.

- Pro-actively expedite againstforward customer orderbook and take ownership for reactive expediting to customer and production shortages.

- Ensuring status of all purchase orders with suppliers are up to date and closed in a timely manner.

- Manage delivery quantity invoice queries and problem resolution.

- Supporting the Supply Chain Engineer (Supplier) with supplier development activities.

- Maintain and manage the master data within the ERP system ensuring all data is in line with the agreements Importante Azienda by the centre-led sourcing team.

- Escalate any communication from the Suppliers advising of a change to the contractual agreements

Qualifications & Technical knowledge:

- Experience in the use of ERP systems.

- Experience with and sound knowledge of the basics of inventory management.

- Good level of IT understanding, including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point.

Personal Specification:

- Experience in inventory and material control within a manufacturing environment.

- Excellent relationship building and communication skills

- Good attention to detail, with a methodical and logical analytical approach
