We are now looking for a **Materials Planner **to join our team in **Bologna, Italy.

**Your main responsibilities as a **Materials Planner **will be**:

- Plan and monitor flow of materials for the manufacturing needs.

Keeping in control the right inventory value.

- Planning purchase orders in alignment with production needs and forecast.

- Plan materials flow according to the stock policy adopted, the service level desired and the operative/logistics rules in place.

- Work with Prod.

giving recommendations to update of forecast in case it is needed.

- Collect and elaborate any information for anticipation and/or postponement and perform this reschedule-in/reschedule-out activity in the system

- Create Purchase orders according to the information present in the system.

- Creates the monthly Forecast for critical suppliers, monitoring variations.

- Daily contact with suppliers.

- Keep updated, constantly and precisely, all the materials planning parameters of the Company ERP system.

- Manage all the inbound materials in compliance to the Company rules for inventories: slow moving, obsolete excess.

- Take care and monitor the stock management: picking policy, handling activities, etc.

- Optimize the level of the inventory of raw materials, subassemblies and finished goods following the Company guidelines.

- Asses every opportunity aimed at simplifying the Supply Chain, drawing benefits like LT reduction, optimization of inventory rotation.

- Manage directly the special stock policies adopted with some components/suppliers: consignment stock, JIT, Kanban.

- To work in accordance with ITC regulations.

**_In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- Technical High school Diploma or University Degree in a science or technical faculty.

- Purchasing, logistics or manufacturing experience of 2/3 years is highly recommended.

- English: fluent is required.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Well-developed interpersonal skills.

- Good knowledge of the supply process and of the internal mechanisms of inventories in manufacturing companies.

- Experience with MRP systems.

- Knowledge of the impacts on materials during/after the introduction of new products could be a plus.
