Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellowship: The Max Weber Programme (MWP) at the European University Institute (EUI) is a prestigious postdoctoral fellowship in the historical and social sciences.

This highly selective programme, with an acceptance rate of less than 5%, offers 1- and 2-year fellowships to early-stage researchers from around the world.

Applicants must have received or be close to receiving their Ph. D. between 01/09/2020 and 01/09/2025.

The programme is open to candidates within 5 years of completing their Ph. D. , with preference given to those who have not previously held a postdoctoral fellowship.

Candidates should have a high level of English proficiency (C1 level CEFR) as demonstrated by recognized English language certificates or equivalent.

Job Description:

Max Weber Fellows will:

Engage in research within their respective disciplines.

Participate in a wide range of multidisciplinary and disciplinary activities.

Receive training and support in publishing, teaching, grant applications, and academic job applications.

Have access to superb research facilities, including a well-resourced library, shared office space, and a personal research fund.

Be eligible for additional grants funded by various governments and foundations.

In the second year, fellows in Economics and Political and Social Sciences may apply for a part-time Assistant Professor position, involving teaching and mentoring responsibilities.
