We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our busy yard.

This would be a multi-tasking position, helping with painting, yard work, and cleaning of trucks and trailers.

Mechanical knowledge for trucks and trailers would be most beneficial. We would ultimately want to promote from within, so we are looking for a Mechanic with an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components.

You would also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating directions to other employees, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely, and provide valuable advice.

CDL Licensed applicants are given preference. ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair our vehicles and trailers coming into the yard. Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake replacements. Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes.

Also responsible for ongoing longevity maintenance for our 53' foot enclosed trailers. Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to the Maintenance Manager, Driver Supervisor, and Dispatch Manager in an easy-to-understand manner. Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork. Ensure all equipment is in compliance with DOT regulations. QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED is required. Automotive service technician training program is preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills are required. CDL License is preferred.
