new cleo is building the next generation system with the goals to: (1) eliminate the need for geological repositories by using a fast neutron flux avoiding production of long life radioactive elements; (2) develop an Accelerator Driven System (ADS), based on the intrinsically safe coupling of a particle accelerator and a sub-critical reactor; (3) accelerate the development of new fuel cycles, including thorium, that provide economic, clean, safe and inexhaustible energy from nuclei and the opportunity to burn the long-lived nuclear waste produced by the old generation of nuclear reactors.

**Job Description**:

Main Responsibilities

Conducts research on nuclear processes and methods for LFRs

Analyses of the performance and reliability of system mechanical components, relying on mechanical engineering knowledge and scientific research

Performs simple analysis of large experimental systems

Collaborates to the identification of breakthrough solutions to the most complex mechanical challenges

Participates in the basic design activities

Writes and/or review design criteria and analysis assessment reports

Develops testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs

Creates and reviews technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software

Collaborates with multi-disciplinary engineering teams

Desired Qualifications

MSc in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Master or PhD is a plus)

Fluent Italian and English

Good knowledge of design and analysis principles for large or complex systems

Understanding of analytical techniques and relevant design codes

Ability to participate in team meetings and give technical presentations

Great mathematical and analytical skills
